Hospital Week: August 6–12, 2025
As we mark Hospital Week from August 6 to 12, 2025, under Presidential Proclamation No. 181, your PHA Board is filled with pride for the nearly 2,000 hospitals we represent as the Philippine Hospital Association.
The Department of Health’s theme, “DOH Hospitals: A Healthy Workplace for All sa Bagong Pilipinas,” speaks to every one of us—government and private hospitals alike.
This theme isn’t just for DOH hospitals; it’s a challenge for all of us. It’s a call to make our hospitals places where staff thrive, patients feel cared for, and communities are uplifted. Bagong Pilipinas, as championed by our President and Health Secretary, is about renewal—a chance to make our hospitals places where hope and healing flourish.
To every doctor, nurse, and staff member pouring your heart into this work: thank you.
This Hospital Week, let’s do more than reflect—let’s act. Your PHA Board encourages every hospital to join in activities that bring this theme to life. Here are a few ideas to spark your creativity:
- For Our Communities: Host free health screenings, blood drives, or vaccination clinics in your barangays. A mobile health van or a community health talk can show our neighbors we’re here for them.
- For Our Staff: Organize wellness days with stress-relief workshops, team-building games, or simple appreciation events like a staff merienda to recharge our heroes.
- For Our Patients: Create a welcoming atmosphere with small gestures—handwritten thank-you notes for patients, or kid-friendly activities in pediatric wards to ease their stay.
Make It Visible:
Display a tarpaulin outside your hospital with the Hospital Week theme and a message of hope, like “Bagong Pilipinas, Bagong Pag-asa sa Kalusugan.”
Share photos of your activities on social media with #PHHospitalWeek2025 to inspire others. Send us a copy and we will publish it in our SOCMED and Website.
