Philippine Hospital Association Statement

The Philippine Hospital Association (PHA) extends its heartfelt appreciation to Hon. Teodoro J. Herbosa, MD, for his dedicated service as Secretary of the Department of Health.

During his tenure, Secretary Herbosa championed important reforms that strengthened the Philippine healthcare system, advanced Universal Health Care, and fostered greater collaboration between the public and private health sectors. His commitment to improving the health and well-being of every Filipino has left a meaningful and lasting contribution to our nation’s healthcare.

On behalf of the officers, directors, member hospitals, and healthcare professionals of the Philippine Hospital Association, we express our sincere gratitude for his leadership and wish him a full and speedy recovery, renewed strength, and continued success in his future endeavors.

At the same time, the PHA warmly welcomes Hon. Jose Brittanio S. Pujalte Jr., MD, as the new Secretary of Health.
